During induction week, the new intake of year 11 students participated in a number of activities. Students have taken part in various workshops and have attended different trips during the two week period. The students were the first to train on the brand new astroturf completing a 2 hour session which included fitness and ball work. They were also Introduced to the BTEC programme to prepare them for September and their studies. Students were privilaged to attend the University of Kent at Medway campus to discuss opportunites in further education and use of the facilities in the near future. Whilst at the University Gillingham F.C were collecting data on their players fitness and how they use Sports Science to improve performance. Finally students went to London to where they either visited London Dungeon, River cruise down the Thames or a West End Show.
