Sports Science Research Project

A number of Year 10 BTEC Sport students have been invited to participate in a Sports Science project set up by the University of

Kent. Students have visited the University and participated in a number of Sports Science workshops based on Sport Psychology,

sports drinks, strength and conditioning and agility. Our students have planned a research topic, collected and recorded their data

and have created a poster detailing their findings.  On the 6th December, students were involved in organising a Sports Science

conference where they presented their posters to University lecturers, PhD students and special guests Kalil Irving and the Head

of Sports Science at Gillingham Football Club. The students were fantastic and a credit to the Academy.
