To enter the Football Academy

Entry to the course requires players to be from Year 11 or 12 (16-18 years old). Judgement of ability and character is taken into consideration through a trial and interview. Students to apply using the Brompton Academy application form. We require students to have at least achieved minimum C grade in GCSE Maths and English. Entry will be accepted upon successful trial, subsequent interview and references.

The programme offers everything you would expect as a professional footballer; brand new sports facilities with access to sports hall (full size futsal court), a full size astroturf for training and home games, free access to new Sports Science fitness gym, Nike training wear, access to physiotherapy, individual fitness plans, diet/nutrition plans, one to one mentoring, performance analysis during matches and more.

Entry will be accepted upon successful trial, subsequent interview and references.

The programme offers everything you would expect as a professional footballer; brand new sports facilities with access to sports hall (full size futsal court), a full size astro turf playing surface for training and home games, free access to new Sports Science fitness gym, Nike training wear, access to physiotherapy, individual fitness plans, diet/nutrition plans, one to one mentoring, performance analysis during matches and more.

Professional Training wear (Nike Training wear): Academy Tracksuit, Rain coat, Training Jumper, Training T-Shirt, Polo Shirt, training Shorts, Training Drill Technical Pants, Football Socks x2, Nike Kit Bag. Matchday full Nike kit (Blue and Green). 

What will you gain:

  • GCSE/A-Level qualifications for subjects (BTEC level 3 Sport and chosen subject)

  • Introduction into refereeing 

  • FA Emergency First Aid Course

  • FA Safeguarding Children

  • Introduction to Futsal

  • Other FA courses  

Playing Opportunities:

  • You will play league games against other academies across Kent on most Wednesdays in the Kent Schools Academies League.

  • Regular training each week with structured sessions from qualified coaches and sports scientists.

  • You will have the opportunity to train and sign for Hollands and Blair FC

  • Players will represent the school in Kent cup competitions

  • Players will be available to play for their own clubs at the weekends

  • Other fixtures against other schools/academies
